The Coveis looking for Bartender(bartender/Server) Terms This is a permanent, full time job, which reqires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Salary will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant. Experience one or two years experience. Credentials required The applicant should have Smart Serve. Work Setting Pub, Restaurant Type of Bartending Experience Customer bar, Cocktails, All beverages Specific Skills Organize and set up bar, Clean, sanitize and maintain bar, Prepare garnishes, Inform customers regarding contents of cocktails or other drinks, Operate point-of-sales system, Collect cash, credit/debit cards or other payment for beverages, Record and balance beverage sales, Store beverage and food products, Order bar stock and maintain inventory and control of bar stock, Enforce provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations Additional Skills Serve food or snacks, Resolve customers’ complaints, Operate cash register Security and Safety Basic security clearance Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Standing for extended periods Ability to Supervise 1-2 people Essential Skills Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Computer use, Continuous learning Profile for The Cove Full service casual dining restaurant and bar.
