TMN Logistics Incis looking for Shunt Truck Driver(shunt Driver) Terms This is a permanent, full time job Shift work is involved. Salary will be $14.00 per hour for a 42 hour week. Education The applicant should have completed high school. Experience at least a full years experience. Credentials required The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate. Type of Trucking and Equipment Tractor-trailer Type of Travel Local Documentation Knowledge Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports Weight Handling Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs) Specific Skills Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive lighter, special purpose trucks, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness Additional Skills Professionalism in customer service, Handle inquiries from customers Security and Safety Bondable, Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test Own Tools/Equipment Steel-toed safety boots Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Physically demanding Transportation/Travel Information Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence Essential Skills Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Significant use of memory, Continuous learning Other Information This is a 12hr cont shift position of 42hrs/wk with set schedule.
