Salary will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant. Education The applicant should have completed high school. Experience is an asset. Credentials required The applicant should have Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Trade Certification, Driver’s License (Class 3 or D), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Major Work Area Repair, Maintenance, Service Type of Equipment Repair Heavy trucks, Firefighting vehicles, Plows Weight Handling Up to 45 kg (100 lbs) Specific Skills Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, Determine extent of repair required, Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, Test repaired equipment for proper performance, Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work Security and Safety Driving record check (abstract) Work Location Information Willing to relocate Essential Skills Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing Other Information Repair & maintain all automotive,mechanical, stationary and maintenance equipment at the Moosonee Airport & for the Fire Dept.Motor Vehicle Mechanic & Heavy Duty Equipment Mechanic Licenses required.
