Terms This is a seasonal, full time job, which reqires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available.

Salary will be $18.00 to $25.00 per hour for a 80 hour week.
Notes: bonus, and other benefits.

Education The applicant should have completed college.

Experience at least three years experience.

Credentials required The applicant should have Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification, 3rd Period Apprentice, 4th Period Apprentice, Motor Vehicle Inspector Certificate.

Area of Specialization Front-end components, Diesel engines, Alignment, steering and suspension, Brake systems, Standard transmission, AC, cooling and heating systems, Drive train components, Truck-trailer repair

Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units

Truck Mechanic Specific Skills Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, Perform scheduled maintenance service

Additional Skills Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor

Security and Safety Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment Tools, Steel-toed safety boots

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Hand-eye co-ordination

Transportation/Travel Information Valid driver’s licence, Drive manual transmission vehicle
