T.P.T. Systems Inc.is looking for Transport truck mechanicin Terms This is a permanent, full time job, which reqires working days, evenings, and weekends. Shift work is involved. Some overtime will be available. Salary will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant. Education The applicant should have some high school. Experience a modicum is required. Credentials required The applicant should have Truck and Transport Mechanic Trade Certification, Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification, 4th Period Apprentice, Truck-Trailer Repairer Red Seal Endorsement, Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Type of Experience Trucks Area of Specialization Diesel engines, Brake systems Automotive Service Technician Specific Skills Road test motor vehicles and test automotive systems and components, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units, Test and adjust units to specifications Truck Mechanic Specific Skills Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service Additional Skills Review work orders and discuss work with supervisor, Estimate parts and labour costs, Customer service skills, Coach and instruct apprentices Security and Safety Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract) Own Tools/Equipment Tools, Steel-toed safety boots Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Hand-eye co-ordination Transportation/Travel Information Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence Essential Skills Reading text, Document use, Writing, Working with others, Finding information, Continuous learning Profile for T.P.T.
