Credentials required The applicant should have Licensure by the appropriate province or territory of work. Work Setting Home for the aged Area of Specialization General duty Registered Nursing Assistant Specific Skills Take patients’ blood pressure, temperature and pulse, Distribute medication to patients, Change patients’ dressings, Monitor established respiratory therapy and intravenous therapy Additional Skills Monitor patients’ progress and report any changes Security and Safety Bondable, Criminal record check, Tuberculosis test Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Ability to distinguish between colours, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods Essential Skills Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning Other Information Must be available for all shifts.
