The Roofman Inc.has 5 positions for a Roofing mechanic(flat Roofing Foreman) Terms This is a permanent, full time job, which reqires working days and weekends. Some overtime will be available. Salary will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant. Experience is an asset. Credentials required The applicant should have Propane in Construction Record of Training, Rooftop Safety Training. Major Work Area Construction, Re-roofing, Repairs Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, Residential Area of Specialization Conventional and inverted built-up systems, Modified roofing systems, Single ply sheet membrane roofing systems, Skylights Types of shingles, tiles and pre-formed sheeting materials Metal sheeting, Tar and gravel Specific Skills Install sheet metal flashings, Troubleshoot and detect leaks, Repair or replace roofing systems, Inspect re-roofing Additional Skills Estimate labour and materials costs, Instruct apprentices, Supervise other workers Weight Handling More than 45 kg (100 lbs) Security and Safety Driving record check (abstract) Own Tools/Equipment Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Physically demanding Work Site Environment At heights, Noisy, Dusty Transportation/Travel Information Valid driver’s licence Essential Skills Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Continuous learning Profile for The Roofman Inc.
