Work Setting Private training organization or college, Vocational school Area of Instruction High school English, High school Mathematics, Mathematics Type of Research Experience Qualitative, Quantitative Specific Skills Prepare teaching materials and outlines for courses, Prepare, administer and mark tests and papers to evaluate students’ progress, Advise students on program curricula and career decisions, Serve on faculty committees for budgets, curriculum revision, course requirements, student application review and staffing, Develop course content, Conduct course and program evaluation or review, Deliver lectures and presentations, Lead discussion groups and seminars Additional Skills Use audio-visual equipment Security and Safety Basic security clearance Transportation/Travel Information Own transportation, Public transportation is available Ability to Supervise 3-4 people Teaching Audience Adult Teaching Format Tutor/one-on-one instruction Essential Skills Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Computer use, Continuous learning Other Information Summit Learning Centres is hiring a LMR instructor for our Kitchener/Waterloo location on a 6-12 month contract.
