Salary will be $11.00 to $13.00 per hour for a 40 hour week. Education The applicant should have some college. Experience one or two years experience. Work Setting Furniture store, Home furnishing store Business Equipment and Computer Applications Point of sale system, Accounting software, Word processing software, Spreadsheet software, Database software, Inventory control software Staff Responsibility 1 - 20 Specific Skills Plan, direct and evaluate daily operations, Manage staff and assign duties, Determine merchandise and services to be sold, Perform cash deposits, Balance daily transactions, Develop and implement marketing strategies, Plan budgets and monitor revenues and expenses, Recruit and train staff, Prepare reports regarding sales volumes, merchandising and personnel matters, Authorize payments by cheque and the return of merchandise, Customer service oriented Security and Safety Bondable Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Work under pressure, Tight deadlines, Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods Transportation/Travel Information Own transportation, Valid driver’s licence, Travel expenses paid by employer Ability to Supervise 3 - 4 people Essential Skills Reading text, Numeracy, Writing, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Computer use Profile for St. Jacobs Furnishings Company Handcrafted Solid Furniture in Oak, Pine, and Maple.
