Salary will be negotiated and depends on the skills and experience of the applicant. Education The applicant should have some high school. Experience one or two years experience. Credentials required The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) Certificate. Type of Trucking and Equipment Tractor-trailer Type of Travel Long-haul Documentation Knowledge Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trip reports Communication Equipment Experience Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment Additional Skills Professionalism in customer service Security and Safety Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test Transportation/Travel Information Willing to travel cross-border, Willing to travel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight Other Information You must be willing to travel everywhere and anywhere. There is Eastern Seaboard (not a lot of N.Y. city but some times). LTL and Full loads. Could be on the road for 5-6days, home for 48 hrs.
