Salary will be $11.50 to $13.00 per hour for a 40 hour week. Education The applicant should have completed high school. Experience is an asset. Credentials required The applicant should have Security Guard Licence. Work Setting Factory or plant, Construction site Type of Assignments Foot patrol, Vehicle patrol Specific Skills Use telecommunications (i.e. two-way radio, cell phone, pager), Detect or prevent thefts and vandalism, Make arrests under the Criminal Code of Canada, Write reports Security and Safety Driving record check (abstract) Own Tools/Equipment Uniform, Computer, Internet access, Cellular phone Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Attention to detail, Combination of sitting, standing, walking Work Site Environment Outdoors Transportation/Travel Information Own vehicle, Valid driver’s licence Essential Skills Reading text, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Computer use, Continuous learning Other Information Certificate from a Police Foundations program or if currently enrolled is an asset.
