Credentials required The applicant should have Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification, Occupational Health and Safety Certificate, First Aid Certificate, CPR Certificate, WHMIS Certificate, Driver’s License (Class 1 or A), Driver’s License (Class 3 or D). Type of Heavy Equipment Operated Backhoe excavator, loader, Front end loader, Loader, Dump trucks, Gravel truck, Forklift Type of Work Experience Fine grading and finishing, Landscaping, Sloping and banking, Backfilling, Demolition, Excavating, Snow removal Work Setting / Industry Experience Residential construction, Industrial/commercial/institutional (ICI) construction Specific Skills Operate heavy equipment, Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks, Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment, Operate two-way radios and other communication equipment, Perform minor repairs to equipment Additional Skills Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications, Utilize material safety data sheets (MSDS), Utilize GPS devices (Global Positioning Systems) Security and Safety Bondable, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Drug test Own Tools/Equipment Steel-toed safety boots, Hard hat, Safety glasses/goggles, Safety vest Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Physically demanding, Attention to detail Work Site Environment Outdoors Transportation/Travel Information Own transportation, Own vehicle Work Location Information Various locations Essential Skills Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning Other Information Snow plough,bobcat/skidsteer experience an absolute must.
