Work Setting Nursing home Type of Clients Seniors Area of Functional Expertise Program planning and development, Program evaluation, Geriatric Recreation (Kincare, Eden Alternative, Gentlecare) Specific Skills Schedule facility programs and staff, Design, develop and deliver social/recreational programs Essential Skills Document use, Writing, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Computer use, Continuous learning Other Information A Certificate from a recognized Activity Directors Course and experience with the elderly are required.
