The Employment Solution (Placement Agency)has 2 positions for an Electric arc welder(smaw) Terms This is a temporary, full time job, which reqires working days. Shift work is involved. Salary will be $18.00 to $23.00 per hour for a 40 hour week. Experience is an asset. Credentials required The applicant should have Canadian Welding Bureau Certification. Major Work Area Construction, Maintenance/repair, New fabrication Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience Manufacturing, Industrial Area of Specialization Custom fabrication, Machinery or equipment repair, Cast iron and other metals Welding Techniques Shielded metal arc welding (SMAW) Materials Steel, iron and heavy metals Specific Skills Interpret welding process specifications, Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment, Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines, Operate hoisting and lifting equipment, Operate previously set-up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts and products Additional Skills Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes, Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications Own Tools/Equipment Tools, Steel-toed safety boots, Safety glasses/goggles, Gloves Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Fast-paced environment, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination Essential Skills Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Decision making, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning ApplyBy fax (905) 272-1068 By email Sequence ID: 1670352 |
