Terms This is a permanent, full time job, which reqires working nights.

Salary will be $24.00 to $26.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education The applicant should have completed college.

Experience at least three years experience.

Credentials required The applicant should have Truck-Trailer Repairer Trade Certification.

Area of Specialization Front-end components, Engine repair, Diesel engines, Diagnostics, Brake systems, Automatic transmission, Standard transmission, Engine repair and overhaul

Mechanical Repairer Specific Skills Inspect and test mechanical units, Diagnose faults and malfunctions, Repair and replace mechanical units, Test and adjust units to specifications

Truck Mechanic Specific Skills Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems, Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems, Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer’s specifications, Perform scheduled maintenance service

Own Tools/Equipment Tools

Essential Skills Reading text, Oral communication, Working with others, Problem solving, Critical thinking, Job task planning and organizing, Significant use of memory, Finding information, Continuous learning

Other Information KNOWLEDGE OF DIESEL ENGINES AND TRANSMISSIONS A DEFINITE ASSET. WILL NEED TO PERFORM FULL TRUCK & TRAILER REPAIR/MAINTENANCE IN A FLEET ENVIRONMENT WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF MOBILE REPAIRS. REF #83
