Gas technician

(boiler/Burner Service Technician)

Chelmsford
to start as soon as possible


Terms This is a permanent, full time job, which reqires working days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Some overtime will be available.

Salary will be $20.00 to $30.00 per hour for a 40 hour week.

Education The applicant should have completed high school.

Experience is an asset.

Credentials required The applicant should have Provincial Gas Fitter Licence, Driver’s License.

Type of Establishment/Work Setting Experience Commercial, Institutional, Industrial, Mechanical and service company

Specific Skills Maintain and service heating units and components, Repair and service gas appliances, Install gas appliances, Start-up and adjust new or repaired equipment, Test and replace defective equipment or components

Additional Skills Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications

Security and Safety Driver’s validity license check

Own Tools/Equipment Tools

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities Handling heavy loads, Physically demanding, Attention to detail, Standing for extended periods, Bending, crouching, kneeling

Work Site Environment Dangerous, Confined spaces, Noisy

Transportation/Travel Information Valid driver’s licence
