Terms This is a temporary, full time job, which reqires working evenings.

Salary will be $16.00 per hour for a 50 hour week.

Experience one or two years experience.

Credentials required The applicant should have Driver’s Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement, Commercial Vehicle Operator’s Registration (CVOR) Certificate, WHMIS Certificate.

Type of Trucking and Equipment Straight truck (4,600kg+ or 10,000lbs+ with 3+ axles), Tractor-trailer

Type of Travel Short-haul

Documentation Knowledge Driver logbook, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip)

Communication Equipment Experience Cellular phone

Weight Handling Up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs)

Specific Skills Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive lighter, special purpose trucks

Additional Skills Professionalism in customer service

Security and Safety Driving record check (abstract)

Own Tools/Equipment Steel-toed safety boots

Essential Skills Reading text, Document use, Numeracy, Writing, Oral communication

Other Information Job description: Bracebridge to Toronto, dedicated run. Shift starts at 4pm. rates will increase in the near future.
