Frequently Asked Questions

When will users be allowed to post jobs?
Prety soon — honest.

Will there be a charge?
If you are posting only a few jobs a day — no.

How much if a lot of jobs are posted?
It hasn't been decided yet. The price will be low to start and rise as the value of our service increases.

What isn't allowed?
Anything that is illegal somewhere in North America. Don't try to hire a call girl. Don't use bad language.

Can I repost the same ad?
Yes, provided you change a substantial amount of the text, and don't repost daily so that you ad is top of the heap.

Do I need an account to post a job?
Yes. We need a validated email address.

I don't like cookies.
Quite understandable. Cookies are put on your hard disk by someone else, which can make anybody nervous. However cookies cannot harm your computer in anyway.

Can cookies be used steal your credit card numbers.
Only if an incredibly negligent company, or criminal employee of a company, that you bought something from, stores the numbers and passwords in a cookie. However after much effort you can usually get the money back. The risks are very low. Giving your credit card to a waiter or bartender is more dangerous.

Why don't you use shttp for logging in?
The risks are very low. At worst an ad gets vandalized or disappears. There is no possibility of your credit card or bank account being compromised, unless you are incredibly foolish and post the information in an ad.

If this site ever asks your credit card, PayPal, bank account or other sensitive data, secure transfers will be used. We don't ask at the moment.

I have a company slogan that I have been using for 20 years. Can I renew the ad indefinitely.
Yes provided that you change substantial amounts of the accompanying text each month.

Somebody is using my name or my companies name.
If they are fraudulentlyulaently misrepresenting themselves as you, this is a crime and we will assist the authorities. We don't know who you are so you must contact the authorities yourself. We cannot police this, neither will we pull the ad prematurely.

Somebody is using my name.
There are a lot of John Smith's. First come first served.

Why won't you accept my ads. We don't like the content or possibly you have been naughty in the past. There in no contract between us, so you can't sue us; we own the site and will deal with who we like. We may reply to your emails.
